Manual Handling Train the Trainer
Duration: 2 Days
Who should attend?
This course is essential for those planning to undertake/assess manual handling operations, or who are responsible for employees that do.
Overview
HSE figures for industrial accidents reported each year show that manual handling, lifting and carrying of loads cause most "over three-day" injuries.
The Manual Handling Operations Regulations give employers guidance on the measures required to be taken to avoid injuries resulting from manual handling.
This course looks in depth at the correct procedure for manual handling, not only from the perspective of what is needed to ensure compliance with legislation, but it also endeavours to make the delegate aware of the problems incorrect handling can cause, and how.
This course is also designed to provide practical guidance on how course delegates can develop personal formal training techniques and presentation skills and how the "trainer" should identify the level of their trainees' abilities and design a training programme to suit their specific needs.
